Will keep you posted. There’s limited storage space on your Mac, so it’s a good idea to delete files and folders you no longer need to keep making space for new ones. My musicians would be very unhappy with me if I get this wrong. downloaded, to a separate device outside of that folder that it should reside safely on that device even if the original file has been deleted from the Dropbox folder. But logic also tells me that if the file has been added, e.g. Logic tells me that anything in a shared folder (which is identical in everyone's shared Dropbox folder) would, of course, be gone. When I finally understand what happens, I'll post a reply. I think I'll get hold of someone else's ipad and try this out. (The wording used in the alert is that if deleted from a shared folder the sheet will be deleted from connected devices.) Granted players would no longer have access to the now deleted online file, but would it also be removed from their ipad the next time they went into Dropbox to access additional files to download? It doesn't make sense to me that a tune downloaded onto a device would be deleted. I was just puzzled that if a sheet is downloaded from DropBox onto someone's iPad, how it could delete that sheet simply because it was no longer available online. The only reason I put the music into the shared Dropbox folder is because that is how you get the pdf files into the GigBook app. We all use DeepDish Gigbook on iPads to download the sheets for rehearsals and gigs. My goal: to free up space in my Dropbox without impacting the contents of my musicians' iPads. My question is, is it possible for each member of the shared folder to download the entire folder's contents onto their own computer, into their individual DropBox folders so they are still accessible to re-download to the iPads if needed? Once this is done, and the files reside on the individual's own Dropbox, can they be deleted from the Shared folder without impacting access for the previously files that were initially downloaded to their ipads, or would they have to reload all of their newly downloaded music onto their devices because the initial pages are gone from the shared folder? The issue is that if I delete a file from my own shared folder, I am also deleting it from my bandmates' devices, and this is absolutely not what I want to happen. I, as the admin, want my files to sync as I add new tunes, so that the others can get the newly added music, so it doesn't sound as if "selective sync" will work for me. I know that I can copy my files to another folder for safekeeping, and have done so in the past. Once they have the music on their devices (iPads) I would like to be able to delete some of the files to free up space, but without deleting them from the individual's iPads. I have a shared music folder for my band members (several different bands). In 2015, Nicolay released another predominantly instrumental solo album, City Lights, Vol. The Foreign Exchange label expanded during the early 2010s with additional albums from FE and Phonte, as well as releases from collaborators YahZarah, Zo!, and Median. One of its highlights, “Daykeeper,” was nominated for a Grammy, but not before the 2009 release of Nicolay’s own City Lights, Vol. The second Foreign Exchange album, Leave It All Behind, came later in the year on the Foreign Exchange label. In 2008 the producer teamed up with Houston rapper Kay (whom he had also met through message boards and had put on a track on Here) and issued the album Time:Line. 1, which featured Nicolay DJing, came out that same year, followed by Here in 2006. 1.5 first only online and then through BBE Records in 2005. Born and raised in the Netherlands, classically trained multi-instrumentalist and producer Nicolay played in a number of hip-hop and R&B bands around his homeland, but it wasn’t until 2000 that he decided to start producing his own beats. Hard disk sentinel pro v4 00 free with crack. This is one of the most aesthetically-pleasing species on the list. As long as that’s not a problem, give them a shot! It’s worth noting that you’ll need a slight larger tank in order to keep them (a good portion of the fish we’ve covered so far are fine with small aquariums). With an ability to thrive in water temperatures as low as 50☏, the Dojo Loach should be at the top of your list for fish that don’t need heaters. They’re quite active and friendly, so they’re always up to something. In our opinion, this is one of the most enjoyable fish to watch. Their interesting pattern and colors make them a great choice for anyone looking to bring some color to their tank. The Celestial Pearl Danio is a gorgeous species that many aquarists love. It can be hard to spot them at times! Their bodies are very textured and they almost look like they’ve been rendered by a bunch of polygons. These fish have an extremely interesting look that makes them stand out (or blend in) compared to many other species. This makes them a great nano fish for small tanks as well. Part of what makes the Asian Stone Catfish so adorable is their tiny size. They’re hardy, peaceful, and very easy to care for. These little critters are one of our favorite freshwater catfish species to keep in cold tanks. They don’t need anything in particular when it comes to their habitat as well, so you can plan around their tank mates. They can survive in water temperatures as low as 50☏ which means you can keep them in tanks without a heater (if it works with the rest of your setup). They can even be used as feeder fish if you so choose. These fish are very hardy and can thrive in a variety of different conditions. Rosy Red Minnows are one of our favorite species, and near the top of the list when it comes to cold water fish for your aquarium. Out of all the fish we recommend to our readers, this could be the species we suggest the most. You can put them in almost any tank, with almost any other species. One of the reasons these fish are so popular is their versatility. This is why they’re also called the Bushy Nose Pleco. On their head and nose area, they have a series of appendages that protrude in various directions. The Bristlenose Pleco has a very interesting look that can’t be ignored. This is one of the most popular species in the freshwater aquarium community as a whole, and they make great cold water fish. They will show some situational aggressiveness from time to time, but that’s not very common behavior. They’ll handle almost all living conditions with ease. Mosquito fish are extremely easy to care for and are quite hardy. This is why so many people consider them one of the best pond fish. These fish get their name from their aggressive consumption of insect larvae. No matter what your preference is, we thought it would be foolish not to include them on our list. However, some aquarists like to keep them in tanks as well. This is a very neat species that is often kept in ponds. There are usually some species-specific details you need to be aware of, but nothing extreme. A lot of the time they don’t even need heaters!įancy goldfish will get along with many other species and don’t require a lot of effort to keep healthy. These fish are great for cold water aquariums since their natural temperature requirements are quite low (this can be as low as 50☏). Titanic: Honor and Glory is set in April 1912 from the tenth to the eighteenth of the month or possibly even later to depict the arrival of RMS Carpathia in New York and the aftermath surrounding the eponymous disaster. Deck games and passenger services will also be available. The latter will allow players to experience the Titanic together. It will include two sub-modes: Sinking Mode and Voyage Mode. The last game mode planned is Multiplayer Mode which is still in the concept stage. The next mode, Simulator Mode, will give the player the opportunity to sail the RMS Titanic and possibly other ships on the open ocean, such as Titanic's sister ships RMS Olympic and HMHS Britannic. The most prominent is Tour Mode, which will allow the player to explore both the ship and the city of Greater Southampton at their leisure without the restrictions of Story Mode. There are three additional game modes planned to be included in the game. Once the Titanic hits the iceberg, the player has 2 hours and 40 minutes to completely solve the mystery. Once the player has boarded the ship, the player must perform certain tasks of a real crewman and secure a cabin of his own. After being mistaken for an international criminal, he must board the RMS Titanic in an effort to clear his name and to find the real culprits. The game's story focuses on a fictional 23-year-old American Oxford University graduate named Owen Robert Morgan. However, during a podcast on April 10, 2015, director Thomas Lynskey announced that the team would move away from crowd funding in order to focus more on the game's development. The project was originally funded through crowdfunding on such sites as Indiegogo. The game is intended not only to be entertaining, but also a historical teaching tool, and a memorial to all those who lost their lives in the disaster. The game will feature the most accurate digital representation of the RMS Titanic to date, as well as a model of the city of Southampton in 1912. We haven't even considered these yet in our budget! Double Dragon was available on not only the NES at the time, but also the Sega Master System, both the Atari 26, and a number of home computer systems. It was a near instant success in arcades, and spawned numerous home ports. While not the first game of its type, it is certainly one of the most memorable. Gone were punch and kick buttons, replaced by the directional attacks previously seen in another Technos game Renegade.ĭouble Dragon was the game that initially defined the beat ‘em up genre. The arcade version was more of refined version of the original game, featuring a number of reused and refined elements from the first game. In the sequel, Marion is shot down and killed by the Shadow Warriors, and the Lee Brothers must once again face off against Willy and his crew. Double Dragon II: The Revenge was released in arcades in 1988. There’s also a head butt move by tapping the joystick twice in one direction. You could combine that attack buttons with the jump button to perform jump kicks, elbows, and jumping round house kicks. Score enough hits and the player performs an uppercut our roundhouse kick. Punching and kicking could be combined to form makeshift combos. The player had punch, kick, and jump buttons. Kidnapped in the opening scene of the game, Marian is held captive in the Shadow Warriors’ secret base by their machine gun toting leader, Willy. Fighting through city slums, a construction site, a forest, and the Shadow Warriors’ hideout, the duo face off against a variety of foes. Twin brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee (initially known as Spike and Hammer is North American advertising), must fight their way through the Shadow Warriors to rescue Billy’s girlfriend Marian. The story of Double Dragon is simple and effective. The soundtrack, by composer Kazunaka Yamane, remains one of the most recognizable of the era. Double Dragon came about by taking inspiration from popular films such as The Warriors, and mixing them with the fighting elements seen in his previous hit Renegade. One that required little to no alteration for releases in Western countries. In an interview with Polygon, Yoshihisa Kishimoto recalled that since many of those games required heavy localization for release outside of Japan, he was tasked by Technos Japan to create a new fighting game series. It was created Yoshihisa Kishimoto, who also worked on the famed Kunio-Kun series of games that included hits like River City Ransom, Super Dodge Ball, and Renegade. In my first entry, I’ll be talking about my personal most wanted line of figures the Double Dragon video game series.ĭouble Dragon started life as a 2-player arcade game released in 1987. These opinions, of course, are my own, and I welcome our readers to share what they would like to see from each of these brands or who they’d like to see take them on. I’ll list core characters or concepts that would translate best into the collectible world, and then which (if any) companies would best be suited to handle the licenses. In each update, I’ll talk a bit about the license itself, the story, and the characters. With revivals of classic brands still the running theme in entertainment, it’s sometimes disappointing to see which brands are passed over, or whose licensing rights are either too expensive, or too problematic to tackle. While others, sadly, have yet to have any meaningful collectibles released. Some of these brands will, of course, have had toys and collectibles released in the past. So long, in fact, that some brands that would have made the list at the beginning of 2019, are now in line for collectibles of their own. This is a feature I’ve mulled over for some time. Welcome to a new limited run article series, I’m calling “ Figures Wanted” where I’ll take a nostalgic look at some personal favorite films, video games, TV shows, and cartoon series that are sorely in need of new collectibles (in my opinion). One Night Stand avoids a common pitfall of the visual novel genre by having solid and realistic writing. While the gameplay itself tends to be a turnoff to gamers who are not fans of the visual novel/simulator genres, the strategy that goes behind getting all 12 endings offers a more universal appeal. The joy of One Night Stand comes from the thrill of trying to perform certain actions or finding out certain information before this girl comes back (as she leaves the bedroom several times during the game). when you play her guitar, you don’t actually see yourself picking it up and playing it).Īlthough One Night Stand lacks the typical satisfaction I get from simulators–walking around an environment and looking at as much as possible–I don’t miss it. You can click on a set number of objects to interact with them, and you can choose between dialogue options.ĭue to the minimalistic animations of these hand-drawn visuals, your interactions are limited to seeing the inside of items (such as a laptop or wallet) or performing actions off-screen (ex. The gameplay is simple, doing nothing to break the mold of its genres (visual novel/simulator). After that, each play through goes by fairly quickly, especially if you choose to fast forward through previously read dialogue. The initial playthrough can take up to 15 or 20 minutes, depending on your choices. All these photos can be viewed in your gallery. If you scroll over the photos that have not yet loaded, you can see hints for how to get said ending. For each new ending, you unlock another photo that loads on your phone. At the end of each playthrough, your character wonders “how else things could’ve played out…” The point of this game is to get all 12 endings. This game demands multiple playthroughs and for good reason. It’s about all the stories that exist based on small choices you make the morning after. And therein lies the appeal of One Night Stand. Of course, you can always try to make the worst of the situation… it all depends on your goals as the player. One Night Stand is all about waking up in a stranger’s bed after a night of one too many drinks and trying to make the best of a potentially awkward situation. So what is there to care about when it comes to One Night Stand? It can be downloaded on itch.io for $2.99 and will be available on Steam in November (2016). The true/final version of One Night Stand released on October 20th and is currently available on both Windows and iOS. The buzz has been great, but Lucy Blundell: “just hope people will still care when the full version comes out.” (via Lucy Blundell’s Blog) One article and Let’s Play led to another, and before she knew it, One Night Stand had taken the internet by storm–with some of the most notable Let’s Players being PewDiPie and Markiplier. The gaming community knows all about waiting, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love to jump the gun. Lucy Blundell released it fully intending to come out with a final version later. The game consisted of multiple endings, a variety of objects to interact with, a minimalist soundtrack, and hand-drawn visuals. Created by Kinmoku (aka Lucy Blundell) in March 2016 for NaNoRenO, a visual novel game jam, the original version of One Night Stand was made in just 4 weeks. One Night Stand is a visual novel/simulator game about, well, a one night stand. |
